A PREVIEW EXPO 2025 OSAKA MEISTERSTRASSE AUSTRIA • JAPAN SHOWCASE IN KYOTO

On April 24, 2025, a pre-exhibition of Austrian crafts of the Austrian Pavilion of Expo '70 Osaka-Kansai was held at the Nishikawa Family Residence in Kyoto, a nationally registered tangible cultural property.
NISHIKAWA JAPAN's showroom, whose interior was renovated by Kengo Kuma, presented a collaborative exhibition of glassware from LOBMEYR, the Australian glass manufacturer established in 1823, and NISHIKAWA JAPAN's tea utensils. About 100 pieces of ceramics, glasses and wood works, etc. by 11 craftsmen were displayed, and visitors could feel the warmth of their handiwork one by one in this “Austria and Kyoto Crafts Collaboration exhibition."
